It is very hard to find somewhere which really sums up Laos properly, the whole place is incomprehensibly nuts, but Khouvieng Fried Chicken (locally known as KFC) comes very close.

June Update

Dear Precious Friends,
 
Just a quick update from an incredibly wet Lao-PDR; it has been raining here for all but a few hours of recent days; the monsoon has well and truly kicked in. Fortunately there aren’t reports of flooding yet, but many recently planted rice crops are being damaged.
